Why DAVABLE™ GAMES Bible Games

Learn the Word by playing the Word™

David Glanville, CM&AP · Founder

Many people want to know the Bible better: the verses they half remember, the people they have heard of, the order of the story. Few find a way that fits into an ordinary day. Bible Games makes it a few minutes a day. Four free daily games turn verses, people, themes and timelines into short puzzles, for the Old and New Testament. Sponsors put their name on a daily habit their members, students and listeners already want.

1What Bible Games is

Bible Games is a Bible game app from DAVABLE™ GAMES. It brings four games together in one app, "4 games in 1 app": Verse Builder, Who Am I?, Scripture Connections and Timeline Challenge. One switch at the top changes every game between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Scripture comes from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is in the public domain. The games are denomination-neutral: they are built on Scripture facts and stories only, with no doctrinal topics. The four games share one header and one sponsor banner at play.davable.com/bible, so a sponsor's name stays with players from one game to the next.

2What the games do

Each game asks the player to do something with Scripture, not just read about it: put a verse back together, recognize a person from what the Bible says about them, see which words belong together, or place events in order.

VERSES

Verse Builder

Tap scrambled word tiles to rebuild a verse in order. A hint places the next correct word. About 90 well-known verses in each testament, plus many less familiar ones.

PEOPLE

Who Am I?

Up to five clues about a Bible figure, hardest first, each with its verse reference. Pick from six names: 5 points on the first clue, down to 1. 53 Old Testament and 44 New Testament figures.

THEMES

Scripture Connections

Sort 16 words into four hidden groups, such as the plagues of Egypt or the fruit of the Spirit. Four mistakes allowed. No word fits two groups.

ORDER

Timeline Challenge

Put five Bible events, or five books of the Bible, in order. Chapter references appear after checking. Events whose order is debated are left out.

Built for a few minutes a day

  • Today's Puzzle. One new puzzle per game per testament every day, at midnight on the player's own clock, the same for every player. 365 for each game and testament, 2,920 in all.
  • Free Play. Unlimited rounds any time, from a separate set of puzzles.
  • Free, with nothing to sign up for. No accounts and no cookies. Scores last for the session and nothing a player enters is saved.
  • Easy to share. Built-in share buttons let players pass the games to family, friends and their small group.

3Why Bible Games exists

Most people who want to know Scripture better are not short of desire. They are short of a small, regular way in. A daily puzzle is that way in: it takes a few minutes, it is a little different every day and it is easy to come back to tomorrow.

Bible Games turns Scripture into those puzzles. A verse becomes words to put in order. A person becomes a set of clues from the text. A theme becomes a group to find. The story becomes a timeline. Every clue and verse points back to where it is found, so a player can open the Bible and read more.

There is a second reason. Churches, schools, bookstores and Christian radio already share resources with their people, often on their own websites. A free, useful game with their name on it is a resource people will actually use, every day. Bible Games was designed for that from the start.

4Who Bible Games is for

Players

  • Church members and families who want a few minutes in Scripture each day.
  • Bible study groups, Sunday school classes and youth groups.
  • Christian school and homeschool students, and the teachers and parents who want Bible lessons to stick.
  • Anyone curious about the Bible, whether they know it well or are just starting.

Sponsors

  • Churches and church networks.
  • Christian schools and homeschool co-ops.
  • Christian bookstores, publishers and radio stations.
  • Faith-based local businesses.

Sponsorships fit local, regional, national and multi-location organizations alike, from a single congregation to a network with many locations.

5How sponsors benefit

The most effective sponsorship is attached to something people value. A Bible Games sponsor does not interrupt anyone. The sponsor is the one who brought people a free, daily way to know Scripture better.

One simple sponsor plan and an add-on

Complete Sponsor: your own branded channel at play.davable.com/your-church, with your logo in the sponsor banner above all four games, in both testaments. One update on our side changes your banner everywhere at once. The plan also lets you show your channel, all four games, on your own website. One sponsor per app can also be featured on this app’s davable.com page.

Custom & co-branded puzzle packs: available with the Complete Sponsor plan on a project-by-project basis, such as an Advent week, a Holy Week series, a vacation Bible school week or a set that follows a sermon series.

Why it works

  • A resource, not an ad. Your name is linked to time in Scripture, not a sales pitch.
  • Daily repeat exposure. New puzzles every day bring players back, and your name is there every time.
  • On your own website. Players stay on your pages, next to your service times, events, classes or shop.
  • Easy to pass along. Churches can share the games with members, schools with students and stations with listeners.
  • Simple to start. Value-based annual pricing is matched to your reach, whether you are local, regional, national or multi-location. Monthly fees are available under the Complete Sponsor plan.
In short

Many people want to know the Bible better. Bible Games makes it a few minutes a day.

By turning verses, people, themes and the story of Scripture into four free daily games, Bible Games gives people a small, regular way into the Bible and gives sponsors a credible, useful way to be part of that habit. For players, it is a few good minutes a day. For sponsors, it is a way to be remembered as the one who helped.
